On-Site Sports Recovery

BodyFX focuses on Sports Recovery and Functional Bodywork and treats athletes next door to our facility. BodyFX is co-owned by our very own Coach Courtney Stansell (PTA), as well as Brett Steininger (PT, DPT). BodyFx’s qualified providers will work individually with clients by using specialized functional bodywork techniques and movement correction exercises in order to optimize performance, enhance recovery, and prevent injury.

Cold PLUNGE

Our revolutionary commercial grade Cold Plunge PRO uses powerful cooling, filtration, and sanitation to give you cold, clean water whenever you want it, making it far superior to an ice bath or chest freezer. Benefits of the Cold Plunge include immune system support, increased blood flow, reduced pain, metabolism boost, improved sleep, increased energy, and elevated mood. Infrared Sauna

Unlike a traditional sauna, infrared saunas don’t heat the air around you but instead use infrared lamps to warm your body directly. An infrared sauna can operate at a lower temperature than a traditional sauna making the experience more comfortable. The infrared heat is thought to penetrate the body more effectively than warmed air. Benefits of using infrared sauna include relief from muscular soreness and joint pain, improved circulation, detoxification, better sleep, and stress reduction.

Normatec Compression Therapy

The Normatec line combines dynamic air compression with a patented Pulse massage pattern that effectively mimics the muscle pump of the legs and arms, enhancing the movement of fluid and metabolites out of the limbs. It can help relieve muscle aches and/or pain and temporarily increase circulation resulting in increased flexibility and range of motion, injury prevention, and accelerated recovery time.

VO2 Max Output Testing

Many people are inefficient exercisers, with no understanding of how heart rate, intensity, or duration would best help them reach their specific goals such as losing weight, endurance training, or cardio conditioning. A VO₂ Max Test gives you measurements in different categories for a better workout. After your test at BodyFX, you will receive an individualized exercise plan based on your results.

Graston Technique

Graston Technique is an evidence-based form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively and efficiently address soft tissue lesions and fascial restrictions that leads to restoration of pain-free movement and function.

Cupping Therapy

Myofascial decompression, or cupping technique, is a form of alternative therapy that is designed to manipulate soft tissues to promote blood flow to an affected area to allow healing.

RockTape and KTape

RockTape and KTape are brands of kinesiotape which is used to support joints and relieve pain in muscles by reducing swelling, increasing stability, promoting mobility, and/or improving pain.

Movement Assessment

A functional movement assessment is beneficial to help identify and determine movement dysfunction. It is important to identify and correct dysfunctional movement and biomechanics before they create injury.

Corrective Exercises

If an imbalance is found during the movement assessment, corrective exercises can be implemented to help improve faulty movement patterns and restore a more optimized pattern. Corrective exercises aid to decrease risk of injury and optimize performance in sport-specific training.
