On-Site Sports Recovery

BodyFX focuses on Sports Recovery and Functional Bodywork and treats athletes next door to our facility. BodyFX is co-owned by our very own Coach Courtney Stansell (PTA), as well as Brett Steininger (PT, DPT). BodyFx’s qualified providers will work individually with clients by using specialized functional bodywork techniques and movement correction exercises in order to optimize performance, enhance recovery, and prevent injury.

Graston Technique

Graston Technique is an evidence-based form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively and efficiently address soft tissue lesions and fascial restrictions that leads to restoration of pain-free movement and function.

Cupping Therapy

Myofascial decompression, or cupping technique, is a form of alternative therapy that is designed to manipulate soft tissues to promote blood flow to an affected area to allow healing.

RockTape and KTape

RockTape and KTape are brands of kinesiotape which is used to support joints and relieve pain in muscles by reducing swelling, increasing stability, promoting mobility, and/or improving pain.

Movement Assessment

A functional movement assessment is beneficial to help identify and determine movement dysfunction. It is important to identify and correct dysfunctional movement and biomechanics before they create injury.

Corrective Exercises

If an imbalance is found during the movement assessment, corrective exercises can be implemented to help improve faulty movement patterns and restore a more optimized pattern. Corrective exercises aid to decrease risk of injury and optimize performance in sport-specific training.
