Congrats Comfort for being selected for COI’s November Athlete of the Month. She has been doing CrossFit for 3 months after being introduced to it by a friend. Comfort’s favorite movement is the power clean, while her least favorite movements are burpees and hand released push ups. For Comfort, CrossFit is a workout that is more mental strength than physical strength. “It’s all about how much you can mentally push yourself to get to your goal. It’s all about do you believe that you can do that extra push up, that extra pull up, that extra minute on the row so on so forth.” It’s a way for her to test and see whether her mental strength is getting stronger overtime. CrossFit OwnIt is a way for Comfort to disappear from the stress of the world for a bit whether it’s her masters, teaching or just work. She enjoys the company of everyone at the gym. She loves how everyone motivates and pushes each other. Comforts goals are to continue to lose weight. She is down 25 pounds with 35 more to go! She wants to be able to do full push ups, squat snatches and toes to bars. We are so proud of you Comfort! Congrats again!
