Congrats Abby and Bryan LaLonde for being selected for COI’s August Athletes of the Month. They have been doing CrossFit for 3 years and started at COI 1 year ago. Bryan’s favorite movement is the thruster, while Abby’s favorite movement in workouts are deadlifts. The snatch is the least favorite movement for the couple. Bryan and Abby have always gone to the gym together, ever since they were teens. They like to keep active and CrossFit challenges them in so many ways. Abby and Bryan like the athletes and coaches, they are encouraging and always challenging them to be better athletes. Abby’s goal is to do double unders without flying against the wall. (Also so Courtney doesn’t give me a weird look). Bryan’s goal is to start muscle ups in workouts. We are so proud of you both Abby and Bryan! You guys are truly #couplegoals. Congrats again!

Congrats Logan Giacco for being selected for COI’s July Athlete of the Month. Logan started CrossFit at CrossFit OwnIt 5 months ago. He loves any Olympic lifting and heavy kettlebell swings. Logan emphasizes he is not a fan of lunges of any kind. Logan enjoys the intensity of the workouts. He understand the workouts don’t get easier, you just push harder to get further along the workout. The community at COI has been a great experience for Logan. During his first experience at COI, he remembers everyone from the coaches to the members were just nice, welcoming and friendly. Logan wants to be stronger and work on his conditioning while having a good time! Congrats Sharon Davis for being selected for COI’s May Athlete of the Month. Sharon started CrossFit 3.5 years ago and started at CrossFit OwnIt about 2 years ago. Although she hates running, Sharon is willing to work on efficiency. Her favorite movements are chest to bars and toes to bar. Sharon enjoys CrossFit for its variety of movements and workouts. If you hate a movement, you never get stuck in it for too long. CrossFit OwnIt has provided Sharon with an amazing friendly and supportive community. She enjoys going to COI even when she doesn’t feel like working out because she gets to see people she loves. COI also has a lot of people, especially the coaches, that inspire Sharon to keep improving. Congrats Alexi Howe for being selected for COI’s June Athlete of the Month. Alexi started CrossFit 2 years ago when she started at CrossFit OwnIt. She loves snatches and muscle ups and would do them every day if she could. Alexi hates deadlifts. Alexi likes that CrossFit is always so exciting and every workout is entirely different. She likes that you’re constantly having to figure out how to tackle and push yourself each workout. Alexi loves the friendships she has made at COI. She explains that you can walk into any other gym and you feel like a stranger, but when you walk into COI you feel as though you’ve known everyone you’re whole life. Alexi’s goals for the year are to get better at cardio, and mostly beat Anna in The Open! 😁 Congrats Alexi! Congrats Ray Richards for being selected for COI’s April Athlete of the Month. Ray started CrossFit 5 years ago and started at CrossFit OwnIt last year. He likes to work on snatches, but hates when Devils press is in the WOD. CrossFit is like a daily competition for Ray. Each day is a new day to be better. COI has become a second home for Ray. He enjoys being at COI because of the friendships he has made and the people that push him to be better. Ray’s goal for the upcoming year is to work on improving his strict handstand push ups.
